ARMO

This is a joint research project between Nokia Researc Center, Cambridge and CSAIL-MIT. The goal of this project is to rapidly build energy-efficient components for mobile devices. We have three interrelated approaches:

  1. Describe the system using Bluespec in a parameterized fashion at a sufficiently high-level that facilitates architectural exploration and is also fully synthesizable.
  2. Use of sub-threshold logic and ultra-dynamic voltage scaling to achieve lowest possible power consumption.
  3. Full system simulaton framework called SMASH to simulate components at multiple levels of abstraction.
