July 2008 Monthly Highlights
- Daniel finished testing ASIC and now has power numbers for all resolutions (1080p down to QCIF. He has started investigating future prediction technique for reducing frame buffer bandwidth (outlined in thesis proposal)
Gopal has implemeneted of HSTDEC SW driver in bluespec. He is analyzing external function dependency and implementing smaller/local functions. Implemented all the external functions for hstdec_tdb_int_handler. Implemented all the required register datatypes in HwHstdecRegister.bsv. Common datatypes are implemented in HstedecCommonDefs.bsv
- Myron and Nirav have made a lot of progress in compiler. They are now planning to handle RWires aswell.
- Elliott is bringing up altera fpga for running OFDM. He is able to compile the code provided by location tracker folks. From initial analysis of OFDM implementation, it looks like FFT is too big. We need to make some modification to twiddle factor calculation.
- Ramki and Alfred are implementing channel estimation and MAC.
